Do You Have a PLAN?

“The incarnation, Christmas, means that God is not content to be a concept or just someone you know from a distance. Do what it takes to get close to him. Christmas is a challenge as well as a promise about fellowship with God.”  Timothy Keller

So, what are you doing today to grow in fellowship with Christ the child, our redeemer and savior, Lord of Lords?  Christmas Day 2020 may be behind us, but Jesus is before us waiting patiently begging us to come to Him!

It is not hard to be in fellowship with him, it is simply a matter of choosing to carve out time to open the Bible and read his words to us. It helps to have a plan-a guide to help you know where to read each day. Have you read the whole Bible?  I encourage you to take a daily approach to reading the whole Bible this year. Seem overwhelming?  Well think of it this way, most of us do not start a movie and choose after 5 minutes to turn it off thinking we will watch the rest tomorrow. But likewise we do not usually benge watch entire seasons of shows either. So take it slow, spend time each day in one reading and then do the same thing the next day and by this time next year you will have read through the whole Bible.

Two approaches to consider: 1-read the Bible as it’s been canonized into books by genre, starting with Genesis and reading through Revelation. 2 -read the Bible chronologically in the (most scholarly assumed) order the events occurred historically.
