It’s a Small World After All
We are so blessed to have so many friends loving on us in so many ways in our lives.
Louisville has become home for our Kelci and that’s such a blessing-but it’s not the location that has made it home, rather the people and friendships!
It amazes me everyday how small this world is when we just open our hearts to one another. Thank you to each one of you who have opened your hearts and lives to loving her and loving us from afar. From the texts and phone calls (even those I have missed and not yet returned this week!), weekend adventures, jbowl coffee chats, dr appts, hill-side chats, bunk convos, weeknight home cooked meals (and steak), and overnight stays-you’re each dearly loved and appreciated! And to the many at home that have continued to build a bridge between here and there with the phone calls, sweet mail, and many prayers to and for her, thank you!
You are living examples of the word of God! You are each fr-amily to me; despite how long or how short, how well or how little, we have known of each other thus far-Christ is our bond and his love never fails!
So many of you are living that which the scriptures declare:
- “And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.” Luke 16:9 ESV
- “Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 ESV
- “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17 ESV
- “My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God; on behalf of a man he pleads with God as one pleads for a friend.” Job 16:20-21 NIV
- “Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy. Proverbs 27:5-6 ESV
- “And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.” Luke 6:31 ESV
- “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” Philippians 2:3 ESV
- “And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:10 ESV
